This license plate tells the story of George and Zelda, a young couple in love, riding from Camden New Jersey to New York City to visit the 1939 World’s Fair. They would have traveled on two lane highways all the way, with all its imperfections, delays and traffic. George was an avid science buff and Zelda had great love for travel. This first trip was the beginning of a 60 year journey, as a couple, a family and – always – travelers, seeing the world.
Their children picked two different versions of this memory, one with the actual plate from their car, and then a poster image from the World’s Fair itself. Both look absolutely stunning and recall a date that created a long and happy life.
